Data Engineer

We’re looking for a talented data engineer to join our Data Analytics team, reporting to the Head of Financial Products and Analytics. Our mission is to enable everyone in the company to be self-sufficient with data so that data-driven decisions can be made quickly and easily. We build and maintain all our data-centric tools. The insights, models and robust pipelines produced will directly drive the expansion of our business, generating new and innovative solutions and providing a class leading experience for our customers.

Responsibilities and Duties


  • Design, build and implement production data pipelines that will drive all areas of the business including Product, Growth, Operations and Finance
  • Maintain and enhance our core data infrastructure and ETL framework
  • Work with BI analysts and the wider business to implement a best-in-class data visualization and self-serve capability via Looker
  • Being involved in key data projects to help the company meet its strategic objectives
  • Automating business processes using SQL, Python or other relevant technologies
  • Working with the Data Science team to develop class leading analytics solutions to create a truly innovate customer experience
  • Work closely with the Founders, Product, Growth and Operations Teams to develop and roll out new products when relevant, while keeping scalability and user experience front and centre

Job requirements

Requirements


  • 2+ years in data engineering
  • Experience with ELT pipelines, data warehouses, data models and automated data processes
  • Experience with market leading cloud providers, GCP highly desirable
  • Experience with BigQuery, Fivetran, Looker, DBT preferable
  • Proficient in writing complex, efficient production ready SQL/Python
  • Ability to collaborate with team across the business, conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Have a strong work ethic, an appreciation of detail and a desire to push the boundary
  • Experience in an early stage start-up environment, ideally in the FinTech/PropTech space
